TRANSFORMER DIAGNOSTIC TEST ALBA BAHRAIN

SKYSUN Energy Services was commissioned to perform a comprehensive offline condition assessment on the 230 MVA Generator Step-Up Transformer (GSUT). The primary goal was to establish a current health baseline, verify mechanical and dielectric integrity, and ensure the operational readiness of the asset for continued service.

Scope of Services
Our team utilized industry-leading diagnostic protocols (IEEE/IEC) to evaluate the electrical, magnetic, and mechanical health of the transformer. The scope included: Insulation System: Insulation resistance, Polarization Index (PI), and Dielectric Response Analysis (DIRANA). Electrical Testing: Transformer Turns Ratio (TTR) and winding resistance measurements. Magnetic/Mechanical Integrity: Exciting current, Sweep Frequency Response Analysis (SFRA), and Capacitance & Tan Delta (winding & bushing). Control & Protection: Functional verification of Buchholz relays, pressure relief devices (PRD), and temperature indicators.
